Hi,
You probably need to replace your notebooks main battery if you're starting to get this error ( the most common code for this is 601 ).
As a further check, ( if you haven't got HP Support Assistant installed ) you could download and run the stand-alone battery test utility available on the page below and see if this also reports the same problem with your battery.

DP-K, thank you very much.
I had the following message after running a battery check with "HP Support Assistant":
- The battery is functioning correctly, but due to normal aging of the battery, the battery life between charges has reached a point where your battery is no longer useful. You should consider purchasing a new battery to optimize your computing experience.
I have been using my laptop external power source for 2 years and I don't get it while battery is completely weak (it can't run for more than 15min).
Therefore, I would like to ask if you have any idea about effectively maintaining a laptop battery.
Regards,
Owusu.

Hi Owusu,
There are a number of factors that effect the lifespan of a Lithium ion battery. One is the number of charge cycles the battery has been through and another is just the age, as chemically the cells deteriorate over time. This deterioration is irreversible.
If you regularly use the notebook on AC Power for prolonged periods of time ( and power outages are not an issue where you live ), it may be an option to drain a battery to around 40% charge, remove it and store it in a cool location - many people put them in a plastic wrapper and store them in a refrigerator ( not freezer ).
There is a useful HP Document regarding various aspects of notebook batteries including a helpful FAQs section on the following link.
