Hey there. I have a problem which recently surfaced, but I'm not really sure what the cause is. I noticed that the hotkeys don't work with Winamp. I uninstalled the last version of HP Hotkey Support and installed the latest version 5.0.20.1 which didn't help. All the other hotkeys work, including sleep, brightness, volume, battery, mute. Prev, Play/Pause, and Next don't do anything with Winamp. (Side note, my Logitech K360 Keyboard media keys operate Winamp perfectly fine.)

I'm fairly sure the hotkeys worked before, or not. On the other hand, the hotkeys work fine if I use the hotkeys with WMP. Must be a WinAmp problem?

Hardware:

HP ProBook 4540s 2.4GHz X4, 8GB RAM

Software:

Windows 7x64, HP Hotkey Support 5.0.20.1, Winamp 5.666

Thanks ahead of time. @LoneWolffe

Hi bnjroo,

I've been there and have a solution for you. The driver version 5 and up seem to have messed up the hotkeys and they no longer work for any application except for some of the keys as you mention in your post.

The fix: go back to driver verison 4.6.10.1 (23 Oct 2012) which is available at HP's driver site.

I'm actualy on driver version "4.6.11.2" but that doesn not seem to be available for download. You my try here but I couldn't get it to dawnolad either. None the less I'm running that version and have perfectly working hotkeys and I've blocked the 5... version update from installing.

Hope this helps

I'll have to give that a try. Thank you!
