Well, nothing new so far. There is another thread about this issue though where a HP employee has given some answers but all his were related to drivers. He actually suggested the use of leshcatlab's drivers but still to no effect. It is interesting that he kept saying that the issue is soft related rather than hardware related (meaning that the BIOS update should not be necessary to solve the problem) but for some reason the solutions he brought up do not work for all of us (he said that they worked for other people - implying other people that have 470 probooks - but I found that hard to believe considering that there was no 470 owner that made a thread about it and said that he solved the issue.
We should keep pushing for this though. Maybe our common effort will reach a solution in the end.

I agree with the pushing. I'm sorry people I did all i can do for you.
I'll keep pushing and asking some other HP members.
Maybe i can arrange something with AMD but the chance is 1%

We definitely need a solution (a.s.a.p.)!
It's rediculous to buy this laptop and not be able to use the true graphics available. For CAD we need all speed and functionality that's available, OpenGL, etc..
Our customers already paid for it, and we don't want them to return the laptops because HP does not provide the right firmware, drivers or patch (I'm sure they can...)!

Our customers run serious business and need all resources available. It's a pity HP doesn't pay attention to this case. Again a week lost without news or updates...
We moved away from the ProBook 470's for now until this is solved.

Beleve me or do not beleve me i bought a new laptop with switchable graphics.
Intel/Nvidia
If i rightclick on a program there is an option to choose the videocard.
(Run with graphics processor
1 High performance Nvidia processor
2 Run with intergrated graphics)
Do you have that option?
So not in the ccc but if you rightclick on a program.
Winos.
