Hello,

I have the Elitebook 8570p (Win7 Pro x64) and the Docking Station A7E36AA#ABB.

I connected my speakers with the audio line out of the docking station, but the musik sounds "flat", without any bass.

I tried the same speakers with the line out of the elitebook directly and it works.

I thought the reason of that is the docking station.

Yesterday I received the docking station HSTNN i11X, connected my speakers with its audio line out and got the same failure: flat sound without bass.

Same again: connected directly with the line out of my elitebook, all works.

I reinstalled the audio driver from the hp supportpage

but nothing changes.

What else can be the cause oft that problem?

I hope there is a adequate solution.

Best regards

Thank you for your answer.

Your link refers to the same driver version as my link (6.10.6435.0; 5.10.6435.0)

But there is a instruction:

1. Download and install the following SoftPaq:

SoftPaq Description
Release Notes
Download SoftPaq
IDT High Definition (HD) Audio Driver
Version: 6.10.6435.0; 5.10.6435.0
Revision: A
NOTE: A more recent version of this software may be available. Check for newer versions at http://www.hp.com/ .

2. Reconfigure the SRS Premium Sound Pro Configuration. Complete the following procedure:

  1. Click the Start button, select All Programs , then select SRS Premium Sound PRO .
  2. Select listening experience , deselect Audio Enhancement , then close the window.

3. Adjust bass speaker output if applicable.

The setting in point 2 solved the problem: dissable Audio Enhancement and the speakers sounds like they should.

I do not know why this point activated leads to a problem, but it is good to know, how to solve it.

Thank you

Best regards

123hallo

Please uninstall all IDT driver (never update the IDT driver)

Reboot

Test the older driver
