Problem with installing NVIDIA drivers.

I don't know If I should ask this here or at NVIDIA. I'll just try here first since even HP provided drivers don't install.

I'll just let these pictures tell the story.

I also tried the driver that can be downloaded from HP download page and the resualt is:

Intel driver is installed fine. So why does NVIDIA doesn't install?

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1

Laptop: HP-15d076sr

Try this...

1. Install the Intel chipset driver and reboot.

I tried that now, I removed intel driver, installed everything like you told me. Now the thing was that while installing the NVIDIA driver, The screen actually blinked, (it didn't previously I tried installing NVIDIA), And I checked in device manager while the install was going. it did recognized it finally but then in a minute this happened:

after that I checked again in device manager and the device was no longer recognized.

So this means that the driver was installed but the setup removed it for some reason after a minute and gave a fail.

Is there a log file that was logged so I can give it to find out what went wrong exactly?

The other NVIDIA drivers didn't gave the screen blink but the last one you gave, did blinked the screen.

Hi:

Unfortunately, I wouldn't know why that driver failed.

Go into the driver folder that was created and check the setup information file to see if the exact hardware ID you posted is on the list.

If it is, the driver should have worked.  If it isn't then the driver won't work and HP would have to release a driver that includes the hardware ID for the specific 820M GPU in your notebook.

OK, so I tried that last driver, it doesn't recognize and blink anymore.  The driver seems to be the correct ones but for unknown reason, it just fails while installing. Maybe something is preventing, maybe other drivers need update or something? Or maybe the antivirus preventing something? I can't think of anything that might preven it other than that.

You may want to try reinstalling windows.

If you do, do not install any other drivers or software until you:

1. Install the Intel chipset installation utility from your notebook's support and driver page and reboot.

2. Install the Intel HD graphics driver from your notebook's support and driver page and reboot.

3. Install that last nVidia graphics driver I posted and reboot.

That nVidia driver should work because the hardware ID for your GPU is indeed present in the driver setup information file, which I have copied the partial contents below...

See if it installs that way and if not, I'm afraid I give up.

So I tried to reinstall Windows. It was Difficult. It turned out that Hard Disk was partitionized with GPT instead of MBR, that was probably because I tried Windows 8.1 when this computer was bought. Then I reinstalled Windows 7. And today too.

So After a lot of trouble, I reinstalled Windows 7 fine. And I installed everything you told me like you told me.

The result: IT WORKED!
