EliteBook 840 G3
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I've just deployed a brand new HP EliteBook 840 G3 using SCCM.

BIOS has been update to v1.04 and I am using the driver pack sp73204.

On first login I got an UAC prompt for a HD Audio driver, which is not supposed to happen.

I have enabled the LAN / WLAN switching option in BIOS which is not working as both WLAN and LAN are active.

Same fault here, UAC prompt on first logon, any solution ?

It seems that the LAN / WLAN switching is working after installing the bluetooth driver.

Sorry i wasen't clear enought, i am talking about the Conexant SmartAudio HD prompt after the first user log-in , how did you solved this ?

HP Recommended

I did not resolve it, I was referring to the LAN / WLAN switching issue.

Allright I will go and ask my HP Technical Responsible, so I was hoping to find a soluiton here.

Count me in to this also! Have spooken with HP and they asked me gently to update to BIOS v.1.07 (?), but that BIOS is nowhere to be found. The latest one is v.1.04 and that solved one of the problems we are facing with this one.

We are still facing the issue with the LAN/WLAN autoswitch not working proper, and yes, we have the Bluetooth driver installed.

Me too have the same problem on Windows 7 x64. The lan/wlan switching doesnt work, all drivers and BIOS are up to date. Also the wireless button only switches off and on bluetooth, wireless remains active. This can only be done with HP Connection Manager.

The fix for us was to replace the malfunctioning G3 with a brand new one. Then the autoswitch was working fine!

How did you fix the UAC Prompt on first login with the Audio driver
