- Probook 4540s MAXIMUM memory support?

Hi there,
I want to upgrade my 4Gb (1600 Mhz, installed by factory - I mean HP for sure!) memory on my Probook 4540s to 16Gb (or maybe 12Gb - by keeping my primary installed memory), but I read so many complains here, about misfunctioning the notebook after upgrade!, and I'm worried about this right now.
Here is my question:
What is the maximum memory amount I can reach to it on my notebook without any issue in functioning?
- Note that, I've installed latest bias driver (F.60 ver.) which is uploaded by HP for my device (When I was on Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit - before upgrading to Windows 10 Pro 64 bit), and I have no issue with my device right now.
Thanks

Hi,
I don't know. The following manual also says the same:
http://www.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03758231.pdf
My suggestion: use CPU-Z tool and look at the brand of existing RAM (under SPD tab) then buy the same.
http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/cpu-z/cpu-z_1.72.1-en.exe
Regards.

Thank you dear banhien for your answer.
At the first, you should refer me to "Link to product overview information (I mean this page link: http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docLocale=en_US&docId=emr_na-c03349709)" below the page you put the link of it!
Second, in the link to product overview information, maximum memory for standard (1333 Mhz) type is limited to 8Gb. But as I mentioned in my configuration, my primary installed (by HP) memory is 1600 Mhz type! So, I don't see the EXACT answer in that document you refer me to it! You can see what I read, below:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Standard
DDR3 PC3-10600 SDRAM (1333 MHz)
Two SODIMM slots supporting dual-channel memory.
2GB and 4GB SODIMMs
Maximum
Upgradeable to 8192MB with optional 4096MB SODIMMs in slots 1 and 2.
Dual-channel
Maximized dual-channel performance requires SODIMMs of the same size and speed in both memory slots.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
However, it's very sad to see this low limit for this really good notebook! 😞
If you had any other information for "DDR3 PC3-12800 SDRAM (1600 Mhz)" type of memory, I would be really happy to hear that.
Thank you again

I should say you were right dear banhien. As you said, in the manual it is mentioned the maximum memory amount is limited to 8Gb with 2x4Gb configuration! It is really sad, but good to know still!
You did it man! Thanks a million 😉
