I have a 6460b probook that is sometimes giving me two different error codes via blinking both Caps Lock and Num Lock LEDs. One code i found reference to the RAM so i reset it the ram in place and ran a full memory test and i haven't seen that one sense. The other one i haven't found anywhere. HP Use to give this informaiton in one of their manualls but i haven't had any luck finding error codes.
the ones i have
blinking 3 times, seems to be RAM
blinking 1 time, this is the one i don't know and haven't found
The other odity is that if i press down on the left side area next to the touch pad and/or a small place on the upper, left side near the power button, the system freezes and the screen changes color. It isn't just a monitor cable issue as i've tried it with a monitor atached and using only the external monitor. The computer locks up hard.
I also just noticed that the user has dropped it at least ones as it has a slightly bent lower left corner on the screen and a small piece of the plastic case broken off of the left corner near the monitor hinge. I imagen this is the cause of the issue, but i'm wondering what the blinking code means.
On an unrelated note/rant. I hardly ever post here at all, but i see HP is moving to the crappy windows 8 and hotmail look like a lot of other places are...... Does anyone acutally like this layout? All the other people i've talked to don't like it and want other places to change back.

This is a peer to peer forum, not an official HP support site.
Have you tried contacting the HPSC?
