I know the product specs says 4MB max, but this machine was shipped with 64 bit OS. I ran the SIW tool from Gabriel Topala and the memory section and the memory section under the motherboard says it supports an 8MB Capacity. This machine has a dual core Intel Pentium T4300 and 2.10GZ CPU chip. Also has the ICH9 Intel Family Host Chipsets with Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family.
The system information also says 8MB memory is supported as well. BIOS Agentplus also reports the following:
Hewlett-Packard HP G60 Notebook
PC 0392120000200C10000020000
Microsoft Windows 7 x64 Home Premium
Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU T4300 @ 2.10GHz
3.0 GiB expandable to 8.0 GiB
Now I've seen some of the other posts that says it may or may not, but with all the data I'm reporting, can anyone tell me with high confidence that I can upgrade to 8MB? And if I can, what would be the recommend memory purchase to get 8MB? Currently has installed 3MB that is DDR2 (PC2-6400), but could DDR3 be used?

Hello
The unit processor can only support 4GB maximum.
DDR-3 Will not fit inside your PC
Hence DDR-2 only.
Sorry,Unfortunately you will not be able to upgrade the RAM
