I have a DV7-6113cl Laptop. it has a Ralink RT5390 802.11/b/g/n WiFi Adapter and I cannot connect to my 5.0 ghz wifi router. I can only connect to my 2.4 ghz router, the router is a Asus RT-N56U Dual Band Router 802.11 g/b/n/a.
The 2.4 ghz is 802.11 g/b while,
the 5.0 ghz is 802.11 n/a.
Please help me, I need to connect to the 5.0 ghz because the signal of the 2.4 ghz is only 1 bar if im in my room.

The Ralink RT5390 is 2.4 GHz only.
Try moving your router or setting it to a different channel.
Banhien is only partially correct. While 802.11a runs on 5 GHz, you're right in thinking that 802.11n can do 2.4 or 5.

Hi,
5 GHz Wi-Fi is 802.11a, and that is not included in "Ralink RT5390 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter." Please also refer to this:
http://compnetworking.about.com/od/wireless80211/f/dual-band-wireless.htm
In short, the adapter on your machine CAN NOT pick up 5GHz.
Regards.
