Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi There,

Since last week my laptop has been making strange beeping noises that sound like dialling on a keypad - kinda like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4UVNeUAXco

It been happening more frequently this morning.  The sound occurs through all outputs, normal speakers and headphones - simultaneously if both are plugged in.

Running on windows 10 - and this has been very buggy.

Please advise.

Hi,

Try running an antimalware program like Malwarebytes antimalware (free) and adware remover.

https://www.malwarebytes.com/premium/

https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/

After that try reinstalling the audio drivers on your PC:

Also check Task Manager (startup) which applications are starting up with windows and disable any unwanted programs.

Hope it helps,

David

Thanks David.

I tried this but still persisting. I did find quite a lot of malware on my laptop though. so could be related.

Hi,

I am not sure if it is related. I would try updating all drivers and bios if avialable.

Run this free trial for Malware:

Hitmanpro

https://www.hitmanpro.com/en-us/hmp.aspx

Kaspersky free security scan

https://www.kaspersky.com/free-virus-scan

Junkware removal tool

https://www.malwarebytes.com/junkwareremovaltool/

Let me know,

David
