Hi, could you give a step by step method as to how to buck up the bios.
In the event there is indeed a bios update on the HP site, should your us HP support assistant or should you download the bios and install it manually

You do not give us your model but in general I do not use HPSA for BIOS updates. I download and run them manually.

I have HP pavilion notebook 17 g133cl touch.
Oh and I really need to know how to buck up the bios before doing the bios update.

There is really no need to do that and once flashed to the newer version hard to go back. If the flash fails it may be possible to restore BIOS from UEFI which is the diagnostic partition on the hard drive. If you are really nervous about it we can help you be sure the BIOS file is there.
