Sorry, have been away.  Still getting problems of the connection to wi-fi being dropped. This happens both when plugged into mains and running on battery.  All drivers are up to date. Have done a hard reset of the network adapter but made no difference.  Router working fine with another laptop connected by wi-fi.  Issue is intermittent, sometimes several times a day, other times serveral days with no issue.  Usually reconnects to the router by itself within a minute.  Sometimes HP Support Assistant resets the wireless adapter and then it connects.  Occasionally this does not solve the issue and I have had to reboot the laptop, where upon it reconnects fine.  Seems to keep dropping the router credentials then finding them again.

I am using a HP Envy X360-15-ds0502n, product no 6TD06EA#ABU SERIAL NO 8CG9482BPD.

Thank you for the update.

Please create a new user and check for the issue.

If the issue still persists, perform the system reset.

Have a nice day!!

Created a new user, still had the same problem.  Reset Windows and apent a day reinstalled software.  Now when the system boots up it does not connect to the router.  In Settings, Network it says it is 'unable to connect to this network'.  HP Support Assistant reset the Realtak adapter, then released and renewed the IP address before eventually connecting.  Please fix this adapter.  I can't take the laptop back to the seller as I am in lock down.
