Issue: Downgraded from windows 8 to windows 7 and
1) Issue :
everything works fine except none of the USB ports 3.0 are working. I see one unknown device and it's not able to find the driver.
Unknown Device: Details Column has Hardword Ids
IUSB3\ROOT_HUB30&VID_8086&PID_8C31&REV_0005&SID_1962103C
IUSB3\ROOT_HUB30&VID_8086&PID_8C31&REV_0005
IUSB3\ROOT_HUB30&VID_8086&PID_8C31
I have tried installing https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=22824 but it didn't help.
2) Issue
Another Issue: Ethernet controller is missing the driver and I am getting findfile failed when I try to install the driver

I tried pluggin ethernet cable while installing the driver also but no result

You're very welcome.
If you have not installed the Intel chipset driver do that first and reboot.
Then I would try the driver directly from Realtek at the link below.
You want to download and install the second driver file on the list.

PAUL... You are my christmas GIFT of the year. The best....it worked. Thank you SANTA PAUL****
I have spent two days scratching my head and scratching google but it didn't help as HP didn't supported drivers for windows 7. The laptop is good but windows 8 is crappy and I downgraded and very happy with windows 7 as I can install all software apps etc etc and works seamslessly.
Few Notes for other users who want to downgrade to windows 7
1) Some of the windows 8 drivers works fine with windows 7 OS as well. Do download and try
2) You can try search drivers in windows 8 installed drive via device manager and it worked few of them by taking automatically
3) Windows 8 wifi driver works for windows 7..which is good as we get internet and you can find other drivers
4) This laptop I assumed I cannot install windows 7 OS on the GPT partition as dual but magic. The dual boot works fine with windows 8 and windows 7 on GPT partition.
