I recently upgraded my Pavilion Notebook from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Do I need to create new product recovery discs or will the original discs I created when I purchased my Notebook with Windows 7 loaded work?

Hi,

Original recovery discs you created after first setup of this laptop will definitely work if you want to factory reset in the future.

Since you've successfully upgraded and activated Windows 10, you can also clean install it using Microsoft windows media creation tool by making bootable USB.

I frequently back up system image to external hard drive using Macrium Reflect Free software, so that I could restore to latest drive images whenever I need.

The original recovery disc can help you back to the factory settings. But if you want to keep your Windows 10, it is better to create Windows 10 recovery disc. Once their is something bad happen to your Windows 10, you can use the Windows 10 recovery disk to restore your computer.

What is the exact model name, product number @rocker7400 ?

If your laptop came pre installed with an OS, you should've created HP recovery USB after first setup of the laptop.
