Hi, I have recently bought an HP PC from a vendor, supposedly brand new but discovered a Recovery folder in it. I have only seen this folder in refurbished products before. Could anyone please advise if I have actually bought a refurbished and not a brand-new PC? Thank you!

It depends on the "recovery folder . " On the This PC" it should show as 😧 drive and Recovery.  Where is this showing up?

BTW: make the Recovery disk set through Recovery Manager.  If it says they have already been made, then it might be a "used" PC.

Ok, so on "This PC" it shows Recovery ( 😧 ) and Windows ( C: )

That is what you should see.  If you open Recovery Manager, you should be able to make the Recovery disk set, which you should do anyways.  This will restore the PC back to factory settings should the hard drive get corrupted or needs replaced.  It will ask for a USB flash drive or DVD's to do that, so be prepared.
