Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

If by "recover". you mean restore what you have now, but in working condition -- that is not possible.

What CAN be done is a factory reset of your laptop to revert it back to its original state, but that removes everything, including all your settings, personal data, and any apps you have installed.

You would use something know as HP Recovery Media to do this -- but since HP no longer provides Recovery Media for your model, a couple of other sites you should check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/

Before using the media, read through this: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00006110

Good Luck
