Pavilion dv6500
Microsoft Windows Vista

I have a backup with 2 files (Copia de seguridad.1.exe and Copia de seguridad.2.fbw)

I have formatted the laptop and installed windows vista
The HP Recovery Manager tool is not installed. I downloaded it from the HP page and it gives me an installation error
How can I recover the backup files? How can I open the fbw file?

Thank you very much.

If I was reviewing many articles and did not see or did not find a solution. As I have two files, one with extension .exe and the other fbw, and I can not recover it. I have tried running the exe file from a windows 10, windows 7, windows xp and in none of them it runs

Thank you for replying with this overwhelming and detailed response 😉

I appreciate your time and efforts,

I recommend you check the size of the total backup to understand whether or not the backup was successful,

If it's lower than you remember the file size should be, the backup most probably didn't complete.

That said, if the size matches what you remember, simply follow the steps mentioned on this link to complete it: Click here for the details.
