I've searched Google and several Hp support forums, but I found nothing that directly addressed someone else with my specific problem.<br><br>I ordered a recovery disk for my Hp Envy notebook because I ran into the sudden problem of the notebook not being able to boot because there's no operating system. I don't remember the exact phrasing in the error, but that summarizes it.<br><br>I now have the recovery disk on a USB drive. When I try to boot the notebook a warning box pops up and says, "Recovery not supported under current configuration, please enable acceleration option for Intel Smart Response Technology and try again."<br><br>I went into BIOS options and searched for this setting with no luck. I was searching through another forum that came close to my exact problem, and someone suggested disabling Virtualization Technology. I tried that with no luck.<br><br>Please note that I can't run my computer with an operating system. Everything must be done under Setup Utility.<br><br>I would really appreciate some help. Thank you.<br>

In BIOS on the System Configuration page you should have Intel Rapid Start Technology. Is that enabled?

Hi

I am having this same issues with an HP Envy 4-1130us.  I replaced the failed hard drive and purchased the recover media from HP and now cant get past this message.  I called HP and all they want is for me to send it to them and pay them $200 to reload it.  I am not interested in sending them more money.  Any ideas on how to accomplish this would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Jason
