Hey guys,

I have a HP ENVY 700-210xt desktop PC and am trying to open the PCIe expansion slot covers that have the screw driver symbol on them but I don't know how! I've taken out my old graphics card and just need to remove this cover to install my new Duel-Slot graphics card. I seriously need help with how to remove this cover as it is the only thing preventing me from installing the new card at this time! I have included a picture of the slot I am trying to remove and have circled it yellow. Thanks guys!

The graphics card is: NVIDIA GTX 760

Old graphics card: NVIDIA GT 640

P.S. I know how to install new PSU required for this new graphics card too!

Old PSU: HP 300 watt

New PSU: Corsair CX500M 500 wattSlot.jpg

That is a break away slot cover. Stick a screwdriver in one of the slots and start rocking it back and forth to break the little places where there is still some metal holding it in. It takes a bit of force and courage that you are not doing something wrong because it seems that you are breaking it-which you are, but it is designed to be broken. Just be careful not to bend the frame around the slot cover. See how you can see light around the edge and there are 6 little bumps? Those are the places where the metal is holding it in and the points you have to break.
