The left mouse button on my laptop (model 15-d037dx) doesn't click when I press it.  The laptop is almost brand new, can I get a replacement button?

Thanks,

Matt

Hi @Matt789

The  click buttons of the click pad are replaceable. Before replacing them I would try cleaning them. Here is a link to Notebook Keyboard Troubleshooting (Windows 😎. Please see the section on sticky keys.

Here is a link to the  HP 15 Notebook PC. Please note Chapter 3 page 28 item 3 for the button board part number.  There is also a section on removal and replacement procedures.

Here is a link to HP Parts Store .

You can also Google the part number to try other resellers.

Good Luck!

Sparkles1,

Is ther any chance that you could answer my original question, "CAN I GET A NEW BUTTON?"

Some useful answers would be:

1.  The part number of the button.

2.  Where to order the button.

3.  How to install the button.

etc.

Thanks,

Matt

Sparkles1,

Thank you very much, but one last thing.  I think your hyperlink on "HP 15 Notebook PC" is wrong.  Can you correct it, or repost with an updated link?

Thanks,

Matt

Hi @Matt789

Thank you for your response.  I have corrected my link in the previous post. I am not sure what went awry but I aplogize for any inconvenience.  The link does work now as I have tested it.
