My old hard drive broke and I'm trying to install windows 10 from a USB. When I try to enter BIOS it's asking for a password. Can anyone tell me what it may be?

Its a BIOS password likely. Somebody set it sometime. And that model has very stringent security. Does the laptop have a DVD drive? Maybe the BIOS is set to boot from it. You can put Windows 10 on a DVD. If not set to boot from DVD or usb we have a real issue on our hands.
