HP Pavilion desktop P6-2330 with Cooler Master cpu fan (#FA08025M12PLA) caused "511 cpu fan not detected." Fan dead, heatsink still breathing. HP bought April 2013 and under waranty. Trying to avoid the waranty hassle and buy/install replacement. Unfortunately replacements no longer exist. The Cooler Master fan was DC12, 0.45A, 80X25M. Cannot find anything to match it. Big box and online super-duper fan supply companies can't come up with anything close.
Legitimate suggestions would really help. Thank you,

Hi,
You can use almost any fan which will fit the heat sink. Just make sure it cools enough as AMD processors heats more than Intel ones a good cooling is necessary. You could also buy a whole complet with a heat sink what fits your FM2 socket such as this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooler-Master-Hyper-212-120mm/dp/B0068OI7T8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=138403271...
Just make sure that the desktop case is big enough to fit the cooler in.:)
HP Touchpad provided by HP
HP Microserver Gen8 10TB Debian Server

WOW! Thanks for the fast feedback.
Have just found out the Cooler Master fan #FA08025M12LPA was replaced with HPE H8-1050 and will
try to find out more about it. I need it to be 80x25mm, dc12v, 4 wire/pin to match the dead CM fan.
I didn't realize any fan that kept the chip cool enough - was enough as long as it fit. I thought everything
had to match the original, exactly. Really appreciate the help.
I accept your response as the solution!
