I've got a 6530b, same thing when you try to flash the rom it still comes up and askes you for a password.
theres 4 flash utilities to use, some windows based and others dos based.....and they all request for a password.
ive tryed every thing and still havent managed to do it........i think by removing battery, hdd and the mb battery thats located under the hdd, and boot it up with power....it comes up with a error message saying that the bios has recovered. Now i think that sets the bios password to a default password. The problem now is to find wat the default password is!

Dear Mozza69
Thank you for reply. I talked with Authorized vendor of HP. They ensure me they will get solution of this problem but one month has gone over and they did not answer me positive. Every thing they says, it will be fixed. Keep hope. Let's see what they will do.

i have the same laptop with the same problem.....would you still have the exe file and would you be kind enough to share it?
i'd be interested to see wether the same file works or wether there made to the individual laptop.
thx
