Your laptop is a business model which means no backdoor passwords. Only service at HP or replacing the BIOS chip will fix it.
From HP Support page for your model>>>
"The Power On password is set in the System BIOS options. It prevents unwanted users from accessing the computer. By default, HP does not set the Power On password. If you set the Power On password in the System BIOS options you will be prompted for it immediately after you power on the Notebook PC.
If this password is forgotten, a repair at an HP certified repair center is required to reset the computer. Please contact HP to schedule a repair. This service is not covered by the warranty."

There is no longer an option for Administrator when I press F10, just the user without administrator rights. Before, you could choose which to login as, but that is no longer tha case. I have the user password, but it does not allow me to access all setup options.

How can I force it to let me login as administrator? Or better, how to make it so I dont have to enter a password each time it boots. thank you!
