Hi All,
I have an HP-15-ac-165 nl and I would like to expand my SDRAM from the native 6 GB (4 + 2) to higher value (8 or 16 GB). I would appreciate any advice on the best solution to adopt and what slot(s) buy.
Many thanks,
D.

Hi,
Max Ram for your system is 8GB of DDR3L 1600Mhz
● 8192-MB total system memory (8192×1) or (4096×2)
● 6144-MB total system memory (4096×1) + (2048×1)
● 4096-MB total system memory (4096×1) or (2048×2)
● 2048-MB total system memory (2048×1)
The best for performance and stability and for the dual channel support would be to install 2 sticks of exactly the sam RAM. You can get kits online for cheap designed for this purpose.
Here is the service manual for your PC (page 2 and 46)

Hope it helps,
David

Hi,
Yes the max Ram for your system is 8GB which will be fastest if used in dual-channel configuration (2x4GB)
Hope it helps,
David
