Notebook Presario CQ62
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I need to set up the BIOS to boot from a usb stick. The options in the BIOS are
CD-ROM BOOT
Floppy Boot
Internal Network Adapter

And within Boot Order:
USB diskette on Key/USB Hard Drive
USB CD/DVD ROM Drive

Notebook Hard Drive

USB Floppy
Internal CD/DVD ROM Drive

!Network Adapter  (But it says that the boot capability will be disabled if the Device is marked with an exclamation mark, which in my case it is)

Question which should I set to boot from a usb flash drive that has the operating system to install Windows?

I tried the F9 boot options but it's giving me only two options:
Notebook Hard Drive
Internal CD/DVD Drive"
No Flash Drive or USB drive in the options list.

Then it says: Press F10 for BIOS Setup Options. Hence I am trying to see what to set up as boot device in BIOS Boot options.

F10 is the key to enter BIOS.On some models you mus tap Esc then at the menu that appears tap F10.

For info-usually changing it in BIOS still it will default to hdd boot. The correct way is to immediatley after powering on tap Esc, then from the menu tap F9 Boot Options. Then use the arrow key to move down and select/highlight USB then tap Enter key. (You should have the USB Flash drive in a usb 2.0 port when powering on)

Sorry, my problem is different now because I managed to enter the BIOS with Esc key.

I changed now the subject of this post.

Thanks all the same

The second part of my Reply above should still apply.

Finally after many attempts pressing Esc the notebook booted from the flash drive.
Thank you for your guidance
