Hello and thanks for reading, I recently reformatted my HP Pavilion dv7-6113cl Entertainment Notebook PC with windows 7, which it came with, I just did a fresh install.
But after getting all the software I wanted, and drivers back on it I noticed two of my USB ports werent working, and the other two say they arent 3.0 which I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure they are. I've looked everywhere, people say the USB drivers come with the AMD Chipset drivers, others with the same problem but different HP lap top has posted on this forum and others that AMD drivers fixed his problem but it didn't work for me, here the source:
"For whatever reason, HP does not provide the AMD chipset driver for any of its AMD based notebooks on any support and driver page.
You need to install the amd chipset driver from the link below, first file listed. That will install the SM Bus and USB 3.0 drivers.
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/raid_windows.aspx#2"
However when I click the link it takes me somewhere else where AMD wants me to fill out my pc specs or auto detect. which gives me drivers but does not fix my USB problem. It also says, "Your system does not support these drivers".
This is what my Dev manager says has no drivers.

The specs for your HP Pavilion dv7-6113cl Entertainment Notebook Computer, clearly state that this model has 2 x SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports in addition to 2 x Universal Serial Bus (USB) 2.0 ports. Please try the AMD Chipset Drivers (Chipset, SATA/RAID, USB 3.0). or look for HP SP61462.exe

Thank you lasvegaswireman, downloaded and installed HP SP61462.exe and AMD Chipset Drivers (Chipset, SATA/RAID, USB 3.0). and it took care of all the problems.
At least now all of my USB ports recognize a device and work when connected.
Am getting this error message when booting up and other than just being annoying everything else works and there is no error message in the Device Manager. I just close the box......however if you have a fix for this one am willing and appreciative.
Thank you very much lasvegaswireman.
You are The Man.

Found it, I had to uninstall "Renesas USB 3.0 host controller driver". It was conflicting with AMD drivers. Everything still worked but had the error message at start up. Now the error message doesn't pop up and all is well. Wheeww.
Thanks again to you lasvegaswireman.
