SSD - Does it require "HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor" to be installed?

HP Recommended
HP ProBook 6570b
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Windows Defender Security Center keeps flagging "HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor" device as having an issue. The error shown is "The driver for this device has been blocked from starting because it is known to have problems with Windows. Contact the hardware vendor for a new driver. (Code 48)"

I've installed the latest driver and also tried to uninstall the device in Device Manager but it keeps coming back. My question is: Can I uninstall the sensor somehow permanently since it's purpose is only for an HDD drive?
