Hi
According to the manuals i found online
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02842252
in page 7 it says it supports 160GB (SATA) SSD provided the notebook has a intel processor.

Hello Diego3v,
Your PC will suppport 160-GB solid-state drive (for use only with computer models equipped with an Intel processor)
Part number :641825-001
Remember they are expensive. Use the part number, with the help off google, find a good deal online.
Good Luck !!
Hope this helps, for any further queries reply to the post and feel free to join us again

From: http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c02993273&sp4ts.oid=5082212
your computer initially was shipped with: 640 GB SATA (5400 rpm)
So, the motherboard (and Windows 10) will definitely support a SSD of the same (or smaller) size.
I have found that SSD devices are physically smaller than any "spinning" disk-drive. So, "size does not matter". 🙂
Typically, any motherboard that supports 640 GB disk-drives will support disk-drives up to 2000 GB.
You need a "smarter" ("newer") motherboard to support any disk-drive larger than that.

> what i don't understand from the manual is why 160GB only... any help on this? I like to install 500/750GB.
At the time that the manual was written, if your CTO ("Customized To Order") computer was assembled to your specifications, the only "Genuine HP Part" SSD that could be selected was the 160GB device.
I'm sure that any SSD, up to 2000 GB, will work.
