Product: Pavilion 15-p239sa

Evening all

I dropped my laptop tonight and worked for a short time then shut down for a restart.

came back up with the error page "the selected boot device failed-Press <enter> To continue"

on doing this the computer powers down

pressed power button then same thing happened again

message came up so I tried dsc button and powered down again

I have a lot off work on hard drive that I need

Any ideas on how to get into computer

- Try to open the computer and reseat the HDD. Here is the service guide for your PC > http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04763947  (check page 44/54)

- Check the HDD for issues - test it from inside BIOS > http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03467259

- go into BIOS (Esc/F9) and ensure the BIOS settings are reset to default
