Setup fingerprint scanner on HP Folio 9480m

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased an HP Folio 9480m laptop from a third party. When I opened the laptop I noticed it didnt have the HP simplepass software. So I went online and tried looking for it and I managed to find one , however when I tried setting it up it would say that the fingerprint reader was not connected.. So I went into the BIOS settings and checked if it was enabled and it was. Since I have no idea what it could be thats not letting me use the Simplepass feature (Ive also downloaded many drivers) I uninstalled the simplepass software I downloaded ( just in case it was the wrong software) so if anyone could help me enable this useful feature it would be awesome!

before you installed this, you need the new fingerprint driver

For Windows 10 Install first all new Drivers

then install HP Client Security Manager

ftp://g4u0180.houston.hp.com/ftp4/pub/softpaq/sp72001-72500/sp72449.exe

Please read first HP Client Security Getting Started

Please Uninstall the Simplepass before

for a bios update (please deactivate the Internet Security)

Is there one specific driver I must download ? or all of them ? I just want the finger scanner to work.

If you can not find a driver
Take a of this system   not the bios!

I just installed the HP Client Security , I am now trying the most recent driver you sent me . Thanks for your help.

I tried it and when it came to adding the fingerprint it says fingerprint reader not connected
