last week i recieved my new zbook 15 g2. I reinstalled windows 7 and make some personal configuration in bios/uefi ( disable onboard microphone, fingerprint an webcam).
I dont used it very much till now 3 or 4 startups and maybe 3 hours of usage... Yesterday i would start it but i get an "error" during startup. Before windows is able to boot, a white screen appears and says "Shared SPI flash was recovered, to continue press enter". After i pressed enter, windows is able to start normally. On next start this message appeared again. I tried one start more but this time the message doesnt appear... I dont recorgnized any other problems till now but this message/flash recovery should appear on a brand new notebook.
Can anybody help me with this error?
best regards

Exact same problem here, but on a brand new ZBook 17 G2.
Appears to be a random startup error, a white screen with this message:
The Shared SPI Flash was recovered from Embedded Controller Flash
I checked with HP Support Assistant - all the drivers are up to date and I have the latest version of BiOS.
No solution found online after extensive search.
