hi my laptop is a hp g6 on windows 7 64bit.
My problem is my sound volume appears to not be as loud as it used to be, all machine settings are set to full volume. the only thing that i can think of is the software that i have that installs all latest drivers may have down loaded a wrong one?
regards
DigitalKen

Hi,
One thing that can sometimes help is the following - whether this option is available will depend on the IDT driver.
Right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select 'Playback Devices'. Left click the default device once to highlight it ( it's usually 'speakers & headphones' ) then click the Properties button. Click the Enhancements tab and put a tick in the box next to 'Loudness Equalization'. Click Apply to save the change and then click OK in all remaining windows and see if this has helped at all.

Hi Again
I have followed all your instructions and although every thing seemed to be inplace when i did every thing and ok'd all, at the end i played some various sounds off the internet some were better sound than others and my own music that i had put on my laptop seemed louder, i assume that some stuff thats out there are better than others. So i think we now have my sound as good as it will get, i thank you very much for your kind help in this matter.
