Bad luck. Is your laptop within its warranty? If so, I would be asking HP to sort it out. It seems an incrdible situation that a new laptop was designed this way by the largest computer hardware company of planet Earth!

Thanks for reply . yes it is only 7 months old. Been  back already to Reseller who have worked with HP to have latest BIOS and drivers installed.  Clearly NOT solved the problem totally.  When the Adapter /driver have clicked in then erverything is oK.  I can run BT & Wifi together  -where others report that turning 1 on turns the other off.   I was having problems getting the Laptop to see SATA II  SSD drives thru a SATA to USB 3.0 adapter and also Samsung Portable SSD T1 SSD would not mount - fixed with BIOS and driver changes.  I have turned off the netadapter property setting that allows the Spectre turn off the adpater to save power. But even when Power is plugged it still does not cut the mustard.

It is a problem that the laptop fails to turn on the network adaptor things on in the 1st place!!

After taking mine back twice to the windows store where I bought it, they finally just replaced it. The new one didn't have that peoblem. A replacement is your best bet for that extremely annoying flaw that hp seems to continue to ignore or acknowledge.

Same issue here, bluetooth to my speakers kills WiFi. Doesn't matter if I am right next to the router, different room etc. The only thing that seems to help a little is to put the speakers in the opposite direction of the router, i.e.:

[Router]    -    [Spectre]    -    [BT Speaker]    (very slow and laggy internet connection)

[Router]    -    [BT Speaker]    -    [Spectre]    (internet connection does not work and drops)

This is a hardware interference issue, not drivers or Windows. I am running Arch Linux.

I love the laptop and have absolutely no other issues, but this is a huge fail. Shame on you HP 😞

Same problem returned once and new one same issue bluetooth not working, I paid 1500 dollars for this end of the line laptop and HP HAS NO SOLUTION? This is a very serious problem, bluetooth and wifi don't work together in 2016!!! Class Action lawsuit?

My problem persists with my blue tooth.  In addition, my Microsoft bluetooth mouse constantly discconnects and has to be restarted.  It would be nice for HP to respond to these customer complaints.

I am facing the same issue. Would really appreciate if HP can come up with the fix.

I am having this exact problem with my 2017 13" HP Spectre x360... I can find no solution for it online. Whenever wifi picks up, my bluetooth audio stutters and becomes choppy. It is impossible to listen to it. It's hard to understand how an issue this bad could make it through to a top-of-the-line $1700 laptop. Is it possible to get a return for this kind of problem? I also had the loose touchpad problem, but was able to fix that myself. Really disappointed in HP

I have the same issue. As soon as I turn on Bluetooth on my HP x360 laptop, the WiFi connection drops to 0....

Feels like I spent $1,500+ on a toy...

Hi @wilson2ec,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query in this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the Wi-Fi turns off when you turn on Bluetooth on your computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.

  • When was the last time the computer was working fine?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?

Meanwhile, I recommend you to update bios and the chipset driver from the below link and check.
