I did a battery torture test the other day. I used BE Pro "Battery Test" and only managed 2.58 hours on full load from 100% to empty.
Tried again on 'Standby mode' (Without screen dimming/ screen turn off etc) and only managed around 4 hours! from 100% to empty!
Absolute joke!
Where HP claim to get 12.5 hours from I will never know. Something is seriously wrong!

Now that I've had a few cycles, I am averaging down to about 8 hours of battery time. For an i7/FHD, I am good with that. Hope the battery saving list helps.
BTW, I ditched Chrome and switch to IE11/Edge, but the lack of add-ons, etc has put me into using Firefox64, which seems to be a great middle ground of battery usage between Chrome & IE11.
On the display front, I am using the newest Intel HD520 beta drivers...that has stopped te Driver crashing issue.
Other than that, no issues with my Skylake....at this time.

You have a bonous compared to us in the UK, you have a full HD screen where as ours is only a QHD with the i7. The FHD sceen uses much much less battery then our QHD screens. Why do we have a QHD display on a 13" screen? We must have more pixels per inch then we can physical see with the human eyes.
I'm not disputing that chrome is more thirsty then IE but i have researched this and the power useage for all the internet browsers are about the same. (I'll try and find links to bench mark tests)
I have Windows 10. Windows 10 is sold here in the UK as standard with the i7.

As I mentioned in a previous post, HP state that the 12.5 hour figure was through the use Bapco MobileMark (MM12) software.

Did you buy it with Windows 8.1 or 10? A part of me wonders if I should go back to 8.1 as HP told me they will only support my model with 8.1. Bit dumb as they advertised it as "upgradable to Windows 10".
See my earlier reply; I've tested against both and it makes as good as no difference.
Also, they'd be phenominally dumb to state they won't support it with 10 as they're actually touting the free 10 upgrade via the Support Assistant...

What is the mWh of your batteries. Mine shows up on batterybar as a 53626 whereas this battery is designed as a 56mWh. Have I lost some battery in 3 months of use already? or this is what is shows for everyone.

Where are you seeing a mWh rating? Mine shows in Support Assistant in mAh.
Cycle count: 116 / 1000
Battery Age: 354 days
Design Capacity: 4960 mAh
Full Charge Capacity: 4576 mAh (92%)
Terminal Voltage: 11587 mV
Design Voltage: 11400 mV
Assuming my maths isn't failing me, that equates to 53,022mWh (using the reported numbers) versus 56,544mWh design.
?
