ONly worked for a short time for me. This is a facebook/firefox issue as far as I can tell.

I've had the same ongoing problem with the ever spinning cursor. Before that my PC was constantly running different scripts at the same time. Then almost everyday it would try to update & then it said it couldn't. Couple of times it said bc of some APP it couldn't update.  My son is an IT Tech & it stopped, then started when I got on my Facebook.

It would seem that Facebook has finally fixed this issue, crossing my fingers.
