Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello all,

My siblings got new laptops (HP 14-dq0003dx and HP 14-dq0005dx, to be exact) for Christmas and I was thinking about upgrading the storage on them. I know I can just use SD cards, but according to the service manual (and also stock pictures of the system board) the system board can also support an M.2 SSD. I'm not looking to use the SSD as the permanent storage device/boot device-- I just want to use an SSD as a storage expansion. I just know that a 64GB eMMC card isn't going to get people very far these days, especially if they don't use the cloud, and it can (very likely) fill up quickly. On that note, what model M.2 SSDs will work with this series? Will I have to find an older model M.2?

Thank you in advance and any help is appreciated!

Bump. Any suggestions?

Another bump. It's been a while since I visited this thread. Are there any suggestions (aside from the SD card option, of course), even if I have to buy another system board?
