The enclosed software does not operate for my F310 Car Camcorder, not recognising *.mov files.

Can you send me a URL for an update?

Thanks

Hi,

Please try the following free software, it can play nearly all video formats:

This alternative does NOT really solve the issue the HP supplied software is defunct. Is this the most up-to-date solution?

Ordinary Windows Media Player runs *.mov files but thats NOT the issue!

Anyone else using(successfully) SuperCar?

Pedro,

I'm just taking a stab in the dark here but...

If you can confirm that the other players are actually able the play the files created from the f310, then something has become corrupt in Supercar because I have not read about anyone else having this problem.

I wonder if your missing the Quicktime codecs to play the mov files. You can download codecs, I'm just not sure where you would place them for Supercar to utilize it unless installing Quicktime will do the trick.

If the files cannot be read with other players from the f310 then the files are getting corrupted from the camera or the mem card.

As far as updates to the Supercar software, I read about this last year that we are out of luck. Theres not been very good support by the company that actually produces it (not HP). I see several people using alternatves to Supercar though who are happy with that.

Hope you get it resolved.

PS: Are you able to toggle from Kph to Mph? If so, how do you do it?

I have Quicktime so Codecs? Who knows. My F310 *.mov's work perfectly with other software, so I've ruled out that form of  corruption.

I'd live to toggle kph/mph but as yet haven't found a way!

I sort of concluded your comments about current SuperCar as so much is missing.  I've read about v.3.0 but can't find it yet! Any ideas?

It's early days for me we've only been insdtalled for less than a week!  I will find out more, if it's there!

Hopefully, the HP guys will read this and take steps with future firmware?

Thanks

Although I have the 'Sound Record' setting to ON. I have no audio element in the recorded *.mov files.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi.

Just so you don't feel alone, I have the same problem. Even tried copying the video files to the supercar directory but no joy. Keep in touch!

If one isn't willing to contact SuperCar software since HP doesn't own this software then this thread is going to a dead end. If this came Factory it most likely was a package feature that HP included but has no supprot for and to think otherwise is misguided here.
