Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I just upgraded to windows 10 from windows 8, I then experinced compatabilty problems with the touchpad driver. I uninstalled and installed a new driver link off another HP forum. The new driver corrected the problem and regained touchpad abilty, but the new installed driver didn't have any of the same gesture commards like using two fingers to scroll up and down or maximizes and minimizing with the use of two fingers on touchpad. Does anyone have link to download new synaptics clickpad with the same functionality?

Hi,

Try the following.

Download the Synaptics driver installer on the following link and save it to your Downloads folder.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71867.exe

When done, open windows Control Panel, open Programs and Features, right click the entry 'Synaptics Device Driver' and select Uninstall.

When this has completed, restart the notebook.

When windows has fully reloaded, open your Downloads folder, right click the Synaptics installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, restart the notebook again.

Hi,

Can you post back with the following details.

1.  The full Model No. and Product No. of your notebook - you can usually get this by holding down the fn key and pressing esc, otherwise see Here for a guide on locating this information.

2.  What driver version have you just installed - a link to the download you used is fine.

I have the Hp envy notebook 15t-q300 and product #l6d38av.

I downloaded the driver off the lind in the first reply to this thread.

http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Business-Notebooks/Synaptics-Touchpad-not-working/td-p/836269

where is says : Uninstall Synaptics Touchpad drivers through Control Panel > Programs and Features , reboot the computer and install updated one from here

This driver does work, but looks like it's for a device with a clickwheel. I need something that has gesture scrolling/ minimizing and maximizing.

Thank you!
