Envy 13-ab016nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've just received an Envy 13-ab016nr Notebook from Amazon. The Windows 10 installed is a non-activated "Test Mode, Windows 10 Home, For Testing Purposes Only" version. When I try to activate, it says that the product key didn't work with this edition of Windows and that I should get in touch with the store. I contacted Amazon Customer Service and they referred me here.

There was no documentation whatsoever in the box and nothing containing a Win 10 Activation Key. How do I activate the Win 10 on the notebook? Thanks.

I grasp that you purchased this from Amazon's Vine Program which may be why I could not find information yet.  When you powered on the notebook it is in test mode and you would like to know how to overcome this issue. Thank you Sparkles1. The solution you posted looks very promising but the notebook is running Windows 10 and the article covers only Windows 8.1, 8, and 7. I suspect that the Windows 8 solution would work, but I'm reluctant to try it. Could you possibly verify that it will work in Windows 10?

Also, I was not able to Activate the Windows 10 installation on the Notebook. Would this solution solve that problem as well?

Thanks again for your help.
