Product: HP EliteBook x360 1040 G8 Notebook PC (1H9X5AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Device: HP EliteBook x360 1040 G8 Notebook PC

When trying to apply the latest BIOS update, it stops at "Updating Intel Thunderbolt Retimer FW Update". Have left the update at this point overnight hoping that it may resolve itself, but no joy.

What needs to be done to either bypass this step or resolve the issue?
