OK, so I have an Hp Pavilion dv6-7029wm, the pc was reformatted and 8.1 was installed with the custom option. I have downloaded all the necessary drivers and software, but the touch pad is still not functional and I have to use a woreless mouse. I have check and reinstalled the drivers, used the hp ass. for checking the system, completed a hard reset, reboot, and reinstalled the os twice and still not working. When i go into the device manager it only shows the wireless mouse. When I reinstall the drivers for the synaptics touchpad it says to plug in a touchpad. It's  there and It did work before the upgrade. I have also tried reinstalling win 7 to check to see if it is an issue with the os and it still doesn't work.

HP Recommended

Unistall the synaptics driver then use the HP page to check and update all drivers. It will reinstall the correct driver and restart...works liek a charm

Tried it, I think the touchpad failed.

I have using 15Ac-120tx .....its touchpad not working smoothly.....pls give me.....driver link
