Basically tried to reboot to factory original state and got the 44% when said can't reset so chose option to the retry and once again got the 44% when said can't reboot to original state which I had shows the faster option to erase all files and reinstall Windows 10 but just wouldn't do it so my second try I had chose the option to exit and start Windows 10 normal except when I did that there is a repeat of the black screen with underscore flashing four five seconds and then the next screen HP but no start up and just repeats those two screens over and over and over again. I have the 14" stream notebook 14-ax020wm, what should i do to get it back on to work.

Hello @Handymanrodrigo

Welcome to the HP Support forum. Thank you for posting !

This is now unable to boot properly happening because the computer cannot successfully and fully load Windows. Reset has been completed just half and you do not have functional and fully installed operating system.

Most likely the built-in recovery partition is corruped and not functioning well and you will need to use original HP Recovery partition to fix your issue.

Please, perform some basic hardware checks to rule out hardware problems

1. Please, shutdown the computer using the power button

2. Power it on.

2.1 As soon as you press the power-on button, immediately begin hitting the Esc button (like tap-tap-tap).

This should open a HP Startup Menu which may look similar to this one

3. Choose F2 to open System Diagnostics. Follow the on-screen instructions to perform System Test >> Quick test.

This will check major hardware componets for issue (do it just in case) . Here is more info >> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03467259#AbT1

If there are no system checks/no quick tests, perform HDD and RAM check.

Let me know the test results. If the tests pass without issues, continue. If not, please, let me know

Order recovery media from HP and boot from it

1. Visit this page > http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Stream-14-Notebook-PC-series/12499221/model/13086...

2. Select Microsoft > Windows 10

3. When all drivers load, choose to expand them all. Scroll down to "Order Recovery Media - CD/DVD/USB"

4. Follow the instructions to order the USB recovery drive

5. Once you receive it in your home or office, insert the USB device and boot from it

6. Follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall Windows 10

Here are detailed instructions > http://hp.dezide.com/ts/start.jsp?guide=HPSystemRecovery.net&section=ccweb&SFS=tdoc&language=english...

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes. Provide your feedback/update.
