I have a 2011 hp pavilion dv6-6140us Entertainment PC laptop. It has AMD A8 Vision, AMD quadcore and radeon graphics with Windows 7.  I have connected two hp w2072a lcd monitors - one on the VGA port and one on the display port with a HDMI to VGA cable.  It will recognize both but will not enable both with my laptop screen.  I can connect a usb AOC monitor that I have for portability and it will recognize and extend to that display for a total three monitors.  Why will it not enable and extend to the two lcd monitors at the same time?  Do I need a VGA to USB cable to make this work?  Or do I need some other software or hardware?  I am pretty good at maneuvering the computer, but I am not a techie.  I just need a plain language direction of how to get this montor to not be disabled.

I have dv6 purchased in January 2013. The model is dv6t-7000 entertainment Pavilion. I have never been able to get the dv6 to run a picture to a tv through an HDMI cable. At home I used a VGA cable for video and audio. But in Iraq and now in Afganistan VGA is not an option on my tv. Do you think I am missing a driver??   John
