Max is 8 gigs of DDR2-800 also known as PC2-6400. 4 gig modules of that memory are very expensive, but 2 gig modules are not so bad.

Memory replacement starts at about 1:40 into the video. You have 2 memory slots and the first thing you need to see is if you have 2 x 1 gb modules or 1 x 2. This will dictate how you get to 4; i.e. whether you need 2 x 2 gigs or just one module.

It should work but you are the second person in the last couple weeks who said he was having problems with Simmtronics memory; a brand I had not heard of. But the specs of the memory are right...DDR2-800 and the laptop should be able to handle 1 or 2 4 gig modules.
