Go to

http://www.pny.com.tw/index.php?cls=2&mode=download

Download "USB Flash Driver Format Tool (Ufix-II)", may have to rename the downloaded file to have a .rar extension.

Extract "RecoverTool_V2.00.42_M1223 8CE.exe" from the downloaded file and run.

Fixed my 8GB v250w that was dead for more than a year.

I already try ALL methode to remove it....

Even format my 8GBv210w with HDDLowLevelFormat still not work...

Ufix-II works like magic!!!

To HP,you should marking pkg78 message as the ULTIMATE solution for this issue...No need to go back to the store, AND very useful when the warranty EXPIRED....

Thankyou pkg78.......

Your solution worked great, I have tried a lot but all in vain.

I am amazed when my USB recoved using "RecoverTool_V2.00.42_M1223 8CE.exe" because I was frustrated using a lot of unsuccessful solutions.........
