Hello,
I've purchased a HP Envy dv6t-7200 laptop that comes with windows 8..
but, for some app. I need to use Win 7 as a 2nd OS (e.g. Oracle db)..
I found that only one USB port is actually working under the Win 7.. (upper right usb), while both on the left side and a one on the right side (USB3 on a right side) are off..
I couldn't find any driver for them for Win 7... is there any way to use these USB ports?
regards,
Dario

Try the following.
First, download and install the Chipset driver on the following link.
When the installation has completed, restart the notebook.
Now download and install the Intel USB 3.0 driver on the link below.

Hi,
You're welcome
Regarding other drivers you may require, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and look for any entries that have a warning icon against them.
For each of these, right click on the problem device and select Properties. Click the Details tab, choose Hardware Ids from the dropdown box and post back with the details shown under Value.
