HP ProBook 450 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

My ProBook got some kind of Windows issue, so that when I contacted Windows support they told me that I need to boot windows installation and do repair, but I cannot do it as my ProBook will not boot from USB stick.

I formated USB stick, Installed windows installation as Bootable, but when I try to boot from it, it just does not open it. Just to check if USB stick is okay, i tried on two different Windwos computers and they booted without any problems from my stick.

Is there any special way to boot this laptop? Or maybe someone has any solutions?

Are you tapping Esc key immediately after powering on-then F9 from the menu to select USB?

Is your USB drive UEFI? Read through the page here:

Still no joy- Secure Boot in BIOS may be preventing booting from anything other than hard drive. Disable Secure boot and Enable Legacy.

Hi,

similar problem here with an Elitebook 1030 G1 (and in the past with an 820 G3, which i send back because of this behaviour):

Seems to be a more widespread problem...

Kind regards,
