Hi All,
I bought recently HP ENVY Notebook - 15t-ae100 CTO (ENERGY STAR) laptop and installed Windows 7 x64 Pro on it. I found almost all drivers for that computer except for Broadcom BCM43142 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi M.2 Adapter:
Hardware Ids:
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4365&SUBSYS_804A103C&REV_01
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4365&SUBSYS_804A103C
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4365&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4365&CC_0280
Can somebody help me with that?
Thanks!

Hmmm....
See if this driver works instead.
The package contains the Broadcom wireless LAN drivers and utility that are required to enable the integrated Broadcom Wireless LAN Adapter in supported notebooks that are running a supported operating system.
File name: sp70888.exe

You're very welcome.
Try manually installing the driver from the network controller device in the device manager because I know that is the driver you need.

To manually install the driver, click on the network controller and then click on the driver tab.
Click on update driver. Select the browse my computer for driver software option and then browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp70616.
Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs that way.
Then reboot the notebook.

Just tried that and Windows found the driver. Installation started and then I got following error message:
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
The requested device registry key does not exist.
Please help.

Unfortunatelly it doesn't work.
When I run installer I got "Update.cpp 1205" error. In case if I manually try to install a driver from C:\SWsetup\sp70888 directory I got "The system cannot the file specified" error.

Unfortunately, I don't get it because that driver also contains support for the same hardware ID, and is listed on the 15t-ae000 support and driver page (which has W7 drivers).

Did you try manually installing that driver too?
If the device is listed as a broadcom wireless card with a ! mark, I suggest you right click on it, select uninstall, check the uninstall driver box, reboot and try installing the driver again.
